I'm currently developing a prototype for cycling eyewear and am seeking a manufacturer or coating specialist to assist with specific requirements. The lenses will be made of polycarbonate and need to feature a wrap-around or curved design, similar to typical sport sunglasses. A key aspect of the project is the coating; I need a see-through silver mirror finish that allows clear visibility from the inside while providing a reflective metallic appearance externally. I would prefer a PVD process for the coating, avoiding spray or lacquer methods. Additionally, the coating must be durable and resistant to scratches, abrasions, UV rays, and sweat. This initial request is for a low-volume prototype, around 2–3 units. I can supply lens blanks or collaborate with your team to determine the appropriate curvature.
